A '''Black Hole''' is a collapsed star. Black Hole [[system]]s are rare, but create very different systems from the norm. The game mechanics differ greatly between [[versions]], however. 

In [[CSharp|C#]], a black hole is a system intended to be difficult to [[survey]], but offering large numbers of available [[jump points]] once fully surveyed. They have no specific dangers, but their survey points are generally spread quite far apart, and take a long time to survey. 

In [[VB6]], a black hole is a hazardous system that can suck ships in towards the star for ultimate destruction. Ships must be fast enough to escape this threat, which grows as the size of the black hole grows.
