ELINT Modules
ELINT modules (or, more properly, "Electronic Intelligence and Analysis Modules") are used to perform intelligence-gathering on the active sensor designs and colonies of other races.
All ELINT modules are military components, weigh 500 tons (10 HS), and use 15 crew. They also act as EM Sensors of the same strength as their ELINT strength, but as they are very weak sensors for their size, this is only of limited value. The main purpose of the sensor strength is to measure when you're close enough to gather intelligence - an ELINT module can only gather intelligence on a source that the built-in EM sensor can detect. Other EM sensors on the ship do not help with this.
