Function
[edit]Conventional Industry (CI) are multipurpose installations that act as a combination of Construction Factories, Mines, and Fuel Refineries. They are, however, quite inefficient, with each CI using as many workers as a normal Trans-Newtonian installation, but only providing a total of 0.475 equivalent TN installations in C#, or a total of 0.25 in VB6.
| Equivalent TN installation | C# value | VB6 value |
|---|---|---|
| Construction Factory | 0.1 | 0.1 |
| Mine | 0.15 | 0.1 |
| Fuel Refinery | 0.05 | 0.05 |
| Financial Centre | 0.1 | 0 |
| Ordnance Factory | 0.05 | 0 |
| Fighter Factory | 0.025 | 0 |
CI cannot be built, but are provided at the beginning of a Conventional Start game instead of other industry. CI can be upgraded one for one to any of Construction Factory, Fighter Factory, Fuel Refinery, Mine, or Ordnance Factory for 1/6 the cost of a new facility. CI can be moved normally in C#, and cannot be moved in VB6.
