Naval Organization
The Naval Organization window F4 is used to organize and command your Fleets and Naval Admin Commands.
Note:: This article is for C# only. For a VB6 guide, see this forum post instead.
The left sidebar of the Naval Organization window shows your race's entire fleet structure (including any civilian shipping), from Naval Admin Commands, through fleets, down to individual ships. It begins with the high command of your race, and each lower command/fleet is attached to a higher command in the hierarchy.
Fleet tab
[edit]The Fleet tab shows the details of a specific fleet you've selected. It contains several sub-tabs.
- Ship List lists the ships in the fleet, and a summary of their status. You can select multiple ships here to make a sub-fleet, or detach them as a new fleet.
- Movement Orders lets you order the fleet around. For more details, see Orders.
- Standing Orders tells your ships what to do when they run out of orders, and also tells you when they need to cancel their orders and do something else. Again, see Orders
- Formation Orders tells your ships how to arrange themselves for combat.
- Transported Items tells you what the fleet's currently carrying.
- History tells you the previous orders of the fleet.
- Miscellaneous is used to move the fleet to new locations instantly (SpaceMaster Mode only), or to change how it displays on the tactical map.
Ship Overview tab
[edit]The Ship Overview tab gives details on a selected ship. It mostly functions similarly to the Class Design window, or the Fleet tab above. The one new sub-tab is the Armour Status tab, which shows the current state of the ship's armour. The height is how thick your armour is, the width is how many armour columns your ship has, and each box is one point of armour. Red boxes indicate destroyed armour, white boxes indicate intact armour.
Ship Combat tab
[edit]This tab is used to attach weapons to fire control systems, choose targets in combat, and begin or cease firing against those targets. Template:Not done
Admin Command
[edit]This tab is used to organize your Naval Admin Commands and create new ones. It shows what systems the command can give bonuses in, what types of bonuses the command gives, and lets you choose which commander bonuses you want to prioritize for that command (if you're letting the game auto-assign commanders to it). To create a new admin command, select an existing one, select a type, and then click Create Admin - it'll add a new command, of the chosen type, subordinate to the existing command.
Logistics Report, Detailed Fuel Report, and Repair Report tabs
[edit]These tabs give details of the logistical status of all ships in your empire, including their fuel, missile ammunition, MSP, time since overhaul, and more.
Shipping Line tab
[edit]If you select a Commercial Shipping line or one of its fleets/ships, you can see a detailed breakdown of that line's fleet, income, financial status, and current tasks.
OOB by System tab
[edit]This will show you all ships of your race, grouped by which system they're in and then by ship class. Systems are listed alphabetically.
Combat Ratings tab

Missile Salvos
[edit]This tab shows all currently active salvoes of missiles. You can self-destruct the missiles in one of your salvoes with the Delete Salvo button.
