Function
Spaceports (previously known as Commercial Spaceports in VB6) are installations that decrease the load times of ships in orbit. This affects anything being loaded into Cargo Holds, Cryogenic Transport bays, and Troop Transport Bays.
In C#, the loading speed benefits of a spaceport can also be replicated with the cheaper Cargo Shuttle Station. However, a spaceport also functions as a Refuelling Station and an Ordnance Transfer Station as well, at a lower combined cost than the three (3000 vs 3600). Since fuel and ordnance stations transfer their loads instantly, a colony does not need more than one spaceport, and cargo shuttle stations are preferred after the first spaceport.
Formula: Adjusted Load Time = Load Time / (Spaceport Level + Cargo Shuttle Station Level + 1)
Misc
In C#, spaceports take 1,000,000 tons of cargo space (or 40 standard Cargo Holds) to move. In VB6, commercial spaceports cannot be moved once built.
